After a few weeks of rain, the sun is shining on Bikepark Innsbruck, with last minute buffing and shaping getting courses primed ahead of Wednesday’s launch.
Key changes to watch for this year include updates to the Slopestyle and Dual Slalom courses.
Slopestyle
Two course edits will be ready to challenge riders this year. The 280m course will feature a start-drop, dirt to dirt (8m distance – replacing the canon log), dirt-stepdown (9m distance), left hip, right hip, whale-tale in, whale-tale out, finish jump (4-5m), and quarter pipe at the finish coral (new for 2022!!).
Dual Slalom
This year an extension to the top of the Dual Slalom track will see riders battling it out over 200m through a maze of five berms and rollers, ending in grass turns.
Those planning to get in on the action on site can still grab tickets, or sign up to get a next-level behind-the-scenes experience (with great perks) by signing up to volunteer.
