The Crankworx World Tour is officially kicking off in Cairns, Australia for the first time and we couldn’t be more stoked! This festival of events is sure to be a ripsnorter, full of epic riding, an expo packed with the leading brands of the mountain bike industry, group rides & skills clinics for the groms, party shirts and more. Here’s a round-up of all you need to know if you are coming onsite for Crankworx Cairns. If you still haven’t bought your ticket yet, don’t worry we’ve got a few left!!
Location
The Crankworx Cairns festival takes place at James Cook University, Smithfield. 88 McGregor Rd, Smithfield QLD 4878.

Smithfield Mountain Bike Park Operations
- Trail Closures/Updates: Smithfield Mountain Bike Park trails are closed to the general public for the duration of Crankworx Cairns.
Parking
Parking is available at the JCU car park, follow the signage and direction of volunteer. Parking costs $5 per day.
Bike Parking
Bike racks are available at the festival. Please bring your own bike locks.
Water Filled Stations
We kindly ask you to please bring your own water bottle, water refill stations available on site.

Bike Paths
James Cook University has good pedestrian and cycle access from most locations. The campus has ample bike parking and a wide network of paths and bike lanes.
Local spectators and event staff are encouraged to walk or travel by bicycle to the Cairns campus. The Event will supply additional bike parking facilities within the event site. The venue is located approximately 16kms from the CBD.
Cairns Regional Council have maps available to help you find the best and safest route to campus from wherever you are staying.
