Crankworx World Tour 2025: What the Year Holds for Athletes

The Crankworx World Tour is gearing up for another epic season, and 2025 is shaping up to be a big one for mountain biking fans and athletes alike. With thrilling competition, new challenges, and exciting updates to the sport structure, this year promises unforgettable moments on a global stage.

Sport Updates for 2025

This past season, we watched athletes battle it out across disciplines in pursuit of the prestigious King & Queen of Crankworx titles. Ultimately, Martha Gill (GBR) and Ryan Gilchrist (AUS) were crowned at Crankworx Whistler, each taking home the coveted prize. The quest for these royal titles continues in 2025, with points up for grabs at select festivals throughout the World Tour:

As always, these festivals will bring together some of the best riders on the planet to compete across multiple events. 2025 also marks a significant change: Crankworx will discontinue Speed & Style discipline. This decision was made after careful consideration and feedback from athletes, spectators, and event partners.

To ensure multi-discipline athletes vying for the King & Queen of Crankworx title still have plenty of opportunities to rack up points, each Crankworx World Tour festival (Rotorua, Cairns, Whistler) will feature at least four events eligible for valuable points. A “Mystery Event” will debut in Cairns, adding an exciting and uniquely tailored challenge for multi-discipline athletes. More details about this new addition will be announced soon, so stay tuned!
