Thule Returns to Crankworx Innsbruck to Present Slopestyle and Whip-Off
As the eighth and final edition of Crankworx Innsbruck gets underway June 12-16, 2024, Crankworx welcomes back Thule as the presenting partner of both Slopestyle and Whip-Off. Eliot Jackson and Emil Johansson are proud ambassadors of the brand focused on contributing to a more sustainable world through innovation, responsibility, and an outdoor lifestyle. The pair are sharing their thoughts on the alignment between Thule and Crankworx, as the partners continue to bring the sport of mountain biking to the larger outdoor community.
“The partnership with Thule has this incredibly positive impact on mountain biking as a whole because as we expand to new audiences, we also have to expand the culture of mountain biking and Thule’s tagline “Bring Your Life” is exactly that,” said Jackson. Similarly, Johansson commented on his trust in Thule as a result of its shared vision of progression and support for the sport, which will in turn lead to a bright outlook for future generations.
On how the partnership with Crankworx Innsbruck supports the mission of Thule, Eliot shared: “When I think of Thule, I think of amazing products that inspire me and excite me to have fun outside. It fits so well with Crankworx Innsbruck because you have this incredible place where you can explore the city and you can go mountain biking and I think the events at Crankworx themselves are super inspiring. The Whip-Off has some of the best scenery in the world and riders like Emil Johansson doing tricks in Slopestyle that we couldn’t have dreamed of. It feels like this place is a great match.”
Commenting further on the longevity of Thule products and how they support a rugged, outdoor lifestyle, Emil shared: “With a sport that requires the most, not only of you but the gear, it is key to use the tools accessible to reach new heights. Spending lots of days on the road – up to a couple months a year travelling – it is an essential for me to know that my bike and gear is intact upon arrival in remote locations or the standard contest environments.”
As Crankworx Innsbruck 2024 gets underway, it Jackson is most looking forward to Thule Slopestyle Innsbruck and Thule Official European Whip-Off Championships pictured by Fujifilm.
“I love the two events that Thule chose this year because Slopestyle represents this amazing exhibition of talent, skill and peak athleticism and the Whip-Off represents community. It’s a bunch of people getting together to have fun and do what they love and, really, remember why they started riding in the first place. We think about that a lot at Grow Cycling Foundation. To get people into the sport, you need aspiration but you also need community and camaraderie. These two events are a perfect representation of that idea.”
