Unleashing the Future: Women’s Slopestyle Session at Crankworx Innsbruck Sets the Stage for Freeride Evolution
INNSBRUCK, AUSTRIA, July 14, 2023 – On the final day of Crankworx Innsbruck, three exceptional female freeride athletes took to the Diamond level Slopestyle course for the โWomenโs Slope Session.โ Sponsored by Mons Royale and the Crankworx World Tour, the event was to foster female progression in the world of freeride mountain biking and works towards creating more opportunities for women to ride at the highest level of Slopestyle.
Mons Royale athlete, Robin Goomes was joined by long-time freeride mountain biker, Kathi Kuypers, and 2022 Red Bull Female Rookie of the Year, Michaela Hajkova, on course as they fearlessly dropped in on the Diamond level course. Each of them brought their unique skills and style to the table, setting the stage for an exhilarating display of talent and determination. Their confidence was evident as they tackled each feature and showcased the bright future of women in freeride mountain biking.

Esteemed Slopestyle athletes, Peter Kaiser and Mike Ross provided support on course as they rode alongside the women and offered their guidance across the various features of the course. Together, the riders sessioned their way down the course, giving insight as to what the future of Crankworx Slopestyle competition may look like. After hitting the red dirt at Crankworx Cairns and dropping in at the heart of the Austrian Alps at Crankworx Innsbruck, a session on the infamous Red Bull Joyride course at Crankworx Whistler is high on the radars of those leading the charge for women in freeride.
