Venue Information
There is lots to see and do at Crankworx Rotorua!
Have a look at the layout of the site – find the giant TVs for catching all the action, food vendors, toilets, retail village, Kidsworx and more – and make the most of your time at the festival!
Parking
You’ll find parking onsite accessible via Rowi Street. Due to the volume of people coming and going throughout the event, traffic can become congested. We encourage you to bike, walk or use public transport when you can.
What to bring
Practical shoes – you’ll need to walk uphill to get to the good viewing spots
A non-glass drink bottle and/or reusable coffee cup (NOTE: glass will not be allowed inside the venue)
Sunscreen or a rain jacket (maybe both). In spring, it’s common for New Zealand to experience what feels like four seasons in one day!
What not to bring
For security purposes, all bags will be checked upon entry. Here are a few things NOT to bring.
- Glass (including drink bottles and reusable cups)
- Knives of any sort (even if it’s a butter knife)
- Weapons
- Tents or gazebos
- Drones (unless previously approved by Crankworx Rotorua)
- Gas cookers or BBQs (these are not permitted anywhere on-site including parking areas)
- Alcohol
- Pets, with the exception of registered disability assist dogs (please be advised that your animal will be required to wear its coat onsite at all times for identification purposes)
NOTE: The venue, including the car park, is a smoke and vape-free zone. If you need to smoke or vape, you will need to leave the site.
Food and drink
You are welcome to bring your own food and drink to the festival.
There will be an array of excellent food and drink vendors onsite to keep you fuelled and hydrated. We encourage you to support these local vendors if you can. Please remember to bring your non-glass reusable cup and/or drink bottle to avoid unnecessary waste.
